Backing Plate size difference

Can I use the 3.5" backing plate for both my 6.5" and 4" pads? I have both sizes and dont know if I should also order the 5" backing plate along with the 3.5" one.

If I can, does this affect anything?

the 3 3/4 is to small for 6.5 pads...will not get full contact with downward pressure on the pad on the paint..best to get both...

I know..it sux..but thats how it is...I would not be with out my 4" pads....best pads for correction going...makes short work of it..but have to be careful..you can burn paint with them...they really cut since small pad area and less resistance ...
