DA vs. rotary Pads

Whats the difference between DA pads and Rotary pads? Can't I used DA pads on my makita?

you can use your PC pads on your rotary...if you have the Edge system just get the rotary adapter..if you you use a Velcro type pad..get a backing plate to accomadate your pad size....

I use my 6 inch pads on both..I find I have better control..less hop...get in to tighter spots..easier to hold pads flat on the rotary...
