pc questions

I just received my pc about 10 minutes ago. Autogeek, thank you so much. Some questions. Am I supposed to use the supplied washer? Also, I received the 5 in. backing plate but there was a counterweight already attached, am I supposed to remove it?. Thank you for your help.

never remove the counterweight unless replacing with the 6 inch version for larger pads and larger backing plates. (this is what helps keep the machine in sink properly) I truly dont remember a washer, but when all else fails, find the directions.
