| | | What Speed?
Im gonna use poor boys ssr1, and follow up with poorboys EX. Iam wondering what speed i should run the ssr1? and what speed i should run the EX? I will be using a white pad to apply the ssr1 and a blue pad to apply the EX, does that sound ok? this will be the first time to use the pc 7424, and i really need to know the proper speeds to run and any other tips on using the PC, thanks OH YEAH and how do i go around the trim or get the product right up to it w/o hitting the trim? |

| | I would run the ssr 1.0 at 5.5 and the EX-P at 3 or 4. For polishes you should run the PC at 5.5 as they will need a little heat to breakdown properly. For your glazes, waxes and sealants, they don't need heat, so just running it at 3 or 4 to spread it evenly is all you need. As for the trim, you can tape it if you want, but Poorboy's will not stain it so even if you hit it it won't hurt it. It's up to you.

| | Are you using the Edge system or the Lake country system?? You don't have to worry about burning the paint with the PC. The PC is a dual action polisher and meaning that it moves in two ways rather than in just one way like a circular polisher. This allows the heat to escape so there is no risk of burning the paint like you have with a rotary. That said, the polishes benefit from the heat produced by the friction when you run it at 5.5. It helps them breakdown, but it is not enough heat to damage your paint in anyway.

| | hehehehehe Yes it's a real speed! I bump it up to 6 and then move the dial down just slightly to where the sound changes and that's how I find 5.5.
