The PC dial just has whole numbers, 1,2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. there is no 5.5 marking. I just find mine by sound. I crank it up to six and then just tap it back some very slightly to where the sound changes. Regardless, if you run the PC at 5 or 5.5 it will still accomplish a beautiful finish.

I know it only has the whole numbers, but like Grimm said there is no inbetween speed, just a definite 5 or a 6, depending on which way you are dialing it, up or down.

Yeah that's what I was saying too... there is no 5.0, 5.1, 5.2... 5.5...5.8...6.0.

If you go to 5 and then go up until the sound changes... that's the same sound as 6. If you start at 6 and go down until the sound changes, that's the same as 5.

there is no speed 5.5...lol...we discussed this on another forum and some one called PC and asked if there was a speed between 5 and 6...and answer was no...you go to speed 6 about half way from 5 and 6....

they were thinking of making it fully adjustable thru out the whole speed range..but never happened....

Wow.
Mine has a dial and has in between speeds. I have Meg's G100.....same as the 7424 but with a lifetime warranty.
Weird that yours don't.

In between 5-6, on the dial, is 5.

Change the speed on your PC without it on and you'll feel "clicks" between 1-5 but none between 5-6.
