I wonder if my green pad will survive, its been used twice and it has a 1/2 tear at the edge where the hole meets the quick disconnect.whatta you think , i only mention it is because the colder months are upon us.... i might use the pad a few times before winter and would hate to have a problem during the spring of 07....

My problem is this. I was using the blue pad on the machine, and noticed a black stain and a slight tear developing on the pad. Upon closer investigation, I realized that the plate the foam pads are bonded to is apparently cracked. I'm not sure what could have caused it. I didn't think that I was applying too much pressure, but as I said, I am new to this and may have been, unintentionally.

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen, had it happen to them, or have any advice on how to avoid it.

Thanks in advance.
We will be happy to replace the pad immediatly. Please call us at the info below.

I don't really know, (pics would help here) but the pad is foam and will wear. If it tears out completely and you think its not safe, first switch sides. If it seems to be a defect the pad, send it back and we will inspect and replace if needed.

Thanks for the pic! That helps. Honestly, that looks like normal wear and tear and does not appear to be any type of safety issue. Keep an eye on it and if it enlarges to the point that you think the plate would be exposed, flip the pad and use the other side. Think of it just like a single sided pad. If you ripped that pad or wore it down too much you would stop using it before you hit the backing plate. That small tear though does not look very serious and will come from just normal use.

Thanks for the great customer service response, Aaron and all the others involved. The product is great, and the excellent service that comes along with it just makes the experience all the better. As far as the pad failing, I'm more concerend that it was something I did as opposed to a product defect. I will give you al holler on it, and rest assured, I will be ordering more of your product soon. Again. Thanks for the great customer service.

Yeah, I get nicks and tears in mine all the time. This is just part of it. I have a yellow cutting pad that I've had for 5+ months now as well as a white finishing pad. Both are used daily most weeks.

I can see if the pad was used sevaral times ...then this would beconsidered normal wear tear. I used my LC multiple times without any nicks or tears. The nick is too close to the adaptor for my comfort..
