PC technical question

I've got the Meguairs G100 version of the 3.7amp PC 7335. It has a counterweight labeled for 5" pads only. Does this refer to the diameter of the backing plate or the foam pad itself? If it refers to the pad, can I install the 6" counterweight so I can use the 6.5" pads?

What is the effect of changing the counterweight? Does the pad just make larger orbits? Does it provide more aggressive action to the pad?

The G100 is the same as the PC 7424. The difference is the price and the name on the side of the machine. From my understanding the difference between the counterweights is negligible. You can use the 6.5" pads without changing the counterweight. I hope this helps you.

I have never changed a counterweight. Some will swear you need to but I have never had a problem
G100 has a lifetime warranty.
