counterweight?

the one the pc comes with says to only use a certain size backing plate. if i get a smaller backing plate do i need to change counterweight?

It would be best if you did to keep the shaft from wobbling to hard. It's cheap insurance. If your only using it once in a while you may be fine not changing it. But if you plan on using it quit a bit swap it out. .02

no need ... we have all used the seperate counterweights with absolutely no difference no matter the pad size.

So I can use diff size backing plate and pad with same counterweight. Thanks for the replies, always get answers to my questions.
