The ultimate detailing machine

Just curious. What ever happened to the Ultimate Detailing Machine?

I think the definition of Ultimate is "Last"

When the Flex became so popular, the UDM sort of lost its fanfare. I have one and still like it but I would admit, had I known more about the Flex back then, I would have bought a Flex instead. But I am not too worried about it. I use my Makita rotary for all my paint correction. The UDM is only used for paint cleaners, AIO's, and glazes.

It is still available from other sources. I have one, like it, and don't have any issues with it. However, I do not use it that frequently or on a professional basis, so I don't know about durability.

Re: The ultimate detailing machine

Autogeek chose not to restock it after the initial sales release. With the PC, Cyclo, G110, and Flex offered it sometimes comes down to way to many choices.

There was talk of a 2.0 but I suspect the issues in regards to the current one, working on all the changes discussed for 2.0 (better counter weight system) plus new competition from Meg's and the flex they may have all sorts of business challenges. You never know they may be trying to scrap the original 2.0 idea and do a 3.0 ala Flex.

With the Flex on the market, they have a lot of work to do .... I also have a UDM and it is now starting to lose power, which is a big disappointment....

Re: The ultimate detailing machine

I bought one based on all the marketing from AG. It is okay, but in hind-site I should have gone with the PC.

Re: The ultimate detailing machine

With all the troubles the UDM have, I would go with the G110 since I hardly ever hear problems with it.
