Still Swirled after Menz FP

I did see another thread about this, but it's concerning me so much that I just have to start a new one.
When I first got the Menzerna Final Polish, I did my entire black Tahoe by hand... next day I can see the smallest marring in a straight line, as I went back and forth. Figured I didn't break it down well enough, so I ordered a PC. Now I've done half the truck with gray LC pads (both 4" & 6.5" depending), set on 5-5.5. I tried to use the technique in the vid. But now I see I still have circular marring, fine though it is. What am I doing wrong? This is a new truck that had swirls just from the initial dealer wash, I think I improved it but I made new fine swirls, and I can't stand it after doing all that work. Please help!

as noted Menzerna Final Polish, well is a finishing polish. You likely need a more abrasive or moderate polish like IP or SIP first.

Thank you, SIP I guess as it said for OEM CC on the chart... The thing I don't get is that these are new swirls caused by my polishing, and I'm thinking also that my technique is lacking. I do see where the FP is not helping other fine, independent scratches, so I may have to follow your recommendation. Hate to have to go over it twice, but pay to play, right? most scratches are introduced during the washing and drying stages. Changing habits a bit in these areas help tremendously.

Washing -- presoak with foam gun, two bucket method, straight lines versus swirls, a well lubricated soap

Drying --- leaf blower, straight lines, use a quick detailing mist to help lubricate while drying

I think you may see some great results here. If youve watched the videos and buffing the way it shows, you likely just need a more abrasive pad/polish combo.

some tips I noticed from my detail, don't buff with a dry pad, and don't use too much product, less is more.

I took out the micromarring with FP and a white pad, hope this helps

Sorry I wasn't able to get back into the thread until now, but thanks for the comments guys. And maybe I should try a white pad, I was using a black. Also, I do notice that it kind of worked, that is to say that where the swirls were long before, now they are very short lines. When I can hit it again hopefully I can come back with some good news. Thanks again.

The black pad has no cut as it is a finishing pad .So the white pad is a polishing pad and you should be able to remove the left over marring with the correct polish and process.

The micro-mar you have after the gray pad is that the pad went dry on you, the finishing pads absorb alot of product. When you get your SIP use it with a white or green 5.5 pad and then follow up with your FP on the gray finishing pad or you might want to get the blue pads, they dont absorb as much as the gray pads.

Thank you guys for the suggestions, I'm gonna give it another shot soon as I can. I'll do white and then blue, maybe, and watch for drying.
