I'm too much AR to do it simple way, I want the lathe

But on the other hand you are giving me idea, Dremel based router should be able to trace it perfect. On the other hand I have one of those temporary 5" plates around so I am using that in the meantime.

Nothing as long as you are not getting edge of pad close to paint. Which you shouldn't be doing to start with.

Re: Flex and pad question?

Ok..mine was cut on a bridgeport..I said lathe before but it was a bridgeport..the center hole was used to rotate it while bolted to the table...the plate was then rotated under the cutting tool...to the point it hit the foam......then cut with a new razor..took all of 10 minutes...

Re: Flex and pad question?

Zoran..it's a milling machine..sorta looks like a drill press but it uses Milling bits in stead of a drill...its for precesion cutting of metals...

looks like this...the table can raise 1/1000th of a inch if needed...

Re: Flex and pad question?

I think I'll just stick to the 6.5 & 7.5" pads

Al-53, if you dont mind me asking, can you take a picture of the pad that you reduced to 4.5 inches. I'm a bit worried with the 5.5in pads also and i bought like 3 of each color. I might get some sonus 6in pads also.
