pc 7424 counterbalance

My new pc 7424 came with a 5" backing plate and a counterbalance thats says [use a 6" inch pad only]....I HAVE 6.5 AND 5.5 PADS

Then in the A/G counterbalance info page it says quote:

The counterweight is for use with a 6” backing plate only.

I have a 5" inch backing plate

very contradictory/confusing

5" BP for 6".0" thru 6".5" pads anything above 7" pads you'll need to go to a larger BP (6") and larger counter weight..

it just says on the [balance] use with a 6" pad.[not saying that its a 6 balance]..so it must be a 5 balance.meant for A 6 -6.5 PAD

then the A/G page that sells the weight says:

The counterweight is for use with a 6” backing plate only.

a 5" came with my unit..... this post probalary means squat, but I'm curious anyway...

Thanks joe.........
