Need Help

Hi, I am a newbie here. Just bought the pc and it arrives today here after 3 weeks. I am very keen to start but need some help from the experts here.

I have bought some 6 inch bonnets but is it suitable for use with the 6 inch lambswool leveling pad?

As my standard PC package came with a 5 inch backing plate, can i use it with the 6.5 inch CCS foam pads using the standard 5 inch counter weight? Do i need to get a separate 6 inch counter weight?

Hope to learn more from the forum here.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Need Help

The standard counter weight should be fine as will the 5 inch backing plate although it's not idea. The outer edges of the pads will have less pressure and do very little work.

Re: Need Help

dont worry about counterweights ... absolute hogwash. I have both and no difference. I personally like a flexible backing plate one size smaller than pads as possible. IE ... 5 inch backing with 6 or 6 1/2 pads.
