Of course and don't worry, I see that question often, quite a number of persons that buy new tool plug it in for quick dry run. Very very often first reaction of people that do that with PC is panic shut down and question "What is broken?"

hey man,

Well, I already have the Meguiar's G100 (PC7424) and it doesn't violently shake like that or isn't off-balanced as bad as the Flex. That's why I panic.

Re: Flex Problems, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ZoranC,

What's IIRC?

Anyway, I just finished detailing today and I must say that the Flex is amazing!!! You're right that it felt more solid and more balanced than the G100! I used Menzerna 106FF with a white LC polishing pad throughout the whole car (will post pics once the sun comes out). After, I used the G100 to apply wax and the G100 felt like a weakling! LOL!

The quality is superb! It felt solid as I was using it! There are only 2 complaints though... It's freaking heavy! When I polish the vertical panels, my shoulders just starts to wear out LOL! Also, since it has a forced rotation feature, the buffer will take you out of your path once you hit a very irregular surface. But other than that, I think I was able to move through panels at a quicker pace than the G100! I was only using speeds between 4-5!

I'm extremely happy with my Flex!!! Why didn't they make them way back then!!!!?!??

IIRC (If I Remember Correctly) it is under a pound difference. Good posture is very important. Many subconcsiously fight back it's "walk" by tightening muscles and that results in faster fatigue and feeling that it is heavy.

That can be minimized with practice, getting to know the tool. You might want to practice adjusting the speed with trigger (easing up a bit and speeding up again) as you are going over the "bumps".

I dunno. It is a good question for the industry. I am just happy that it exists and that I found it.
