What's the status on the Flex?

Just wondering what the latest info on Flex supplies is, when is the next shipment expected, are enough units expected to meet current pre-orders and have enough left over for additional orders?

What about the backing plate? What type of bp will be on the new ones?

First off dont worry much about the red backing plate if you get that one as i am still using it after 4 months.I have the newer backing plate but i am still waiting for the red one to fail.

Not really worried about "failure" but had read somewhere that a 5" bp may be becoming available?

"Final" design 5.5" bps are already available and one can easily get theirs for free (if their unit did not come with one) from main distributor. Also some of retailers have taken on themselves to send out replacement bps to their customers. Call might or might not be needed depending on retailer.
