Unhappy UDM is Broken

Today during i polish my car that almost finishing.

I used edge wave pad system on speed 5 with SSR1.5. I polish on the left door side of the car, suddenly the pad is fallen on floor together with counterweight part but the motor still working then i switch it off.

Very suprised me! the axis spins of counterweight is Broken!. I also attached some pics of them on where is broken.

I think this case not yet happen and you may questioned that what i did with it?, the answer is I used it as uasual, i've used it many time, anyway i still love it even it broken now, just hope to get a new one.

BTW, In this case can i request a replacement regarding warranty?

I'll bet someone at AG will help you figure out the best plan. Sorry it happened.

That isn't good at all. The UDM people don't recommend using the Edge system because the pads are really heavy, and I guess in this case, too heavy for the axle to hold up. It definitely shouldn't have broken though. I believe Autogeek would like you to deal with them instead of the manufacturer if you bought it from AG...

hopefully David can work the bugs out and get the Machine to perform as is was meant to be..it was a good idea with good intentions it just has a few flaws..i hate to say it but the udm may be over shadowed by the Flex Da polisher...

sounds to me like edge should be responsible... however my first udm broke and AG replaced it. The worst part is the replacement they sent me is now acting very funny, vibrating really bad. I sent meghan a pm, and she said to contact Dwayne... as this is his department now.

I don't see how the Edge is responsible here as DavidB did give the edge system the green light with the prototype UDM but the production UDM had a revised housing (from what I remember) and David then back tracked and retracted the use of edge pads until a new weight was designed to ease up on the vibs. If David never told AG not to o.k it with the UDM it would lead back to him, but if he did AG is at fault for recommending it on there site.
