Question XMT 360 + XMT Glaze?

I searched the forum but could not find an answer to this.

Can I top XMT 360 with XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze? I am detailing the Mother-in-law's car this weekend. I plan to use XMT 360 and XMT 180, then I thought, well, I have nearly a full bottle of the glaze. But will putting the glaze on top of 360 do any good or bad?

Trhland,

That is what I meant. If the glaze is okay with the 360, then I was thinking:
1. XMT 360 via UDM
2. XMT Glaze via UDM
3. XMT 180 via hand

I'm concerned that the glaze will be have no beneficial effect on top of the 360 because 360 is a sealant. Does anyone know or have opinions on this?

Okay, after reading the AG site descriptions of 360 and the XMT Glaze, it seemes to me that there is no need to top 360 with the glaze. The Glaze says:

Try Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze as the finale of your compounding process or, if your paint is already in great shape, use it after washing. Applied with your dual action or rotary polisher, the gentle cleaners blend away minor flaws - like spider webbing, haziness, and overall dullness – to increase depth and clarity. At the same time, a layer of carnauba bonds to the paint surface to further enhance the dynamic shine created by the glaze. What can’t be removed with the cleaners is filled in with carnauba to create a smooth, flawless finish. It’s perfection and protection in one!

If 360 cleans, polishes, and seals than it seems to me the Glaze might remove some of the sealant 360 leaves behind. Thus defeating the purpose of the 360.

Anyone disagree?

It just seems like the wax version of the sealant that XMT 360 uses, so it might just be redundant. They sell the glaze for use with the non-360 XMT line as a finishing step, so you may just want to use it for that.

I don't think the sealant properties in 360 are all that great to begin with. If you don't have to let it cure to begin with or let it set like all the other sealants... then it doesn't make sense. However, if they glaze contains carnuba, then you top it with 180, then it would fortity the 180 as a topper. also the glaze is a cleaner so it would make more effectiveness to use after 360. when I did my wife's car i mixed a little 106ff with the 360, more for the correction part... so i would say do it all!!!
