Who would have thought two Ford V6 blocks stuck together would create a hell of an engine lol. The Viper, is like banging the hottest stripper at the club, wild animal , and it stomps on the F-cars at Moroso and Sebring here with a good driver, problem is people feel uncomfortable pushing it hard b/c of no save your butt gizmo's and it drives just like a race car, you have to have smooth and solid inputs in turns, start jerking around and you'll be heading towards the wall , true drivers car.
But for what your looking for, I'd say the DB9 rocks. And if you can, find one with the 6 speed manual, very rare but match made in heaven with that engine. Personally, I'd take an Gallardo anyday over an F430, look at at least an 06+ as slight power increase and better gearing, night and day difference compared to an 04/05, sharper gearing really wakes the car up. | Im just looking for something fun, i already have the M5 for my daily. My only reservation on the Viper is that Ive owned an 98 and I HATED it..... But I have heard great things about the 08 so I may want to try it out.
A couple of my buddies were saying I probably wont like the AMs because they are too muted. I dont really care aroudn 0-60 or quarter mile times, thats soooo american haha, I am more about enjoying the car and the driving experience. ie 360.gt3.S2000.NSX.Ae86 <--- some of the funnest cars I have driven.

Think I had some pics on here awhile ago, its a car you have to man handle and thats whats so rewarding especially on the track. Still have the ugly brown 1980 Porsche SC for track duty as well lol. I've driven plenty of cars, and its still about the only one that just makes your bones tingle, but again thats me, I love raw drivers cars. You would like the guys down the street, has a red NSX thats loud as hell, modified by x-factor or something like that?
I don't even like sport/gt type cars, and would take the DB9 is a second. I consider the Porsche Turbo in the same class, not a true sports car (GT3 is) and no matter how much quicker it is then the DB9 I found it to be borring as hell, like fast Lexus, and we've owned plenty of Porsches so saddens me to say that. 993TT was a raw beast, 996/997TT have been taken to the vet and neutered. Get a GT3 and send it to Manthey for some work, one hell of a fun car!

Too many idiots buying the cars and totaling them. Couple years ago when the 996 GT2 came out, father here bought his 16 year old son one for 1st car. Couple days later, what happens, car was completely mangled as he lost control and female passenger was critically injured and I don't think ever fully recovered (theres a reason the GT2 was known as the Widow Maker). His father said he didn't know that was the type of car it was, his son just wanted a Porsche and this Porsche in particular so he bought it. Then the other news story couple months ago with the guy buying a Viper and totaling it literally half a mile from the dealership, he had never driven one before, and I guess thought it was a normal car to look cool in lol.
Could have sworn I read sometime back that Dodge, Porsche, even GM was going to implement some type of driving program that had to be met 1st before you could own their "high-end" car. People crashed the Carerra GT left and right like crazy.
