I just looked at the Dinan site and it looks like for the older 06's they had a ECU upgrade thing, ten TB's and exhaust.

I cant believe these things have ten freaking throttle bodies, I thought I was cool when I upgraded my one. I will say that dinan stuff is $$$$$$.

even the ///M3's have ITB's..im wondering if the 550 n such have em also...but i knew the m3's had itb's in the past as well

as far as the twin turbo...the only twin turbo i know is the 335 and tahts suppose to give the 'old' m3's a run for their money

however the new m3's thats obviously going to be better

/m6 vs /m5 since they have the same motor...the m6 blows the m5 out the water since its smaller lighter and has CF

It's a 63, so it's a 6.2ltr 525hp NA V8 engine. The 65 has the TT12.

No BMWs have ITBs except the Ms, and M6 is just as fast off the line, the only advantage the 6 has is lighter weight and lower center of gravity. The overall difference is not that big.

Yep V8...

Verdict is that they are pretty much even, but the SMG3 seems to change quicker than the Benz version. Every time I would change gear, the M5 would inch a little more. But over all its around the same with a slight, and I mean slight edge to the M.

ya im sure the m's have an advante...bmw's are always known for their handling...if your talkin bout a straight line...well then no one cares about that..but im sure if its tracked the m's are better than amg's

all the more reason my family is BMW equipped!
