Indy Car

My friend with all the Porsches had an Indy Car at his store today so I thought I would go check it out and take some pictures. I have posted pictures of some of his cars before including a post of a recent track day at Sebring when we took a couple of his Porsches. The owner of the Indy Car lives in Cape Coral but I had never meet him before today. The car races in the Indy Series. It's unbelievable how little room there is in the car. It has a sequencial gear shifter. Even thing on the car is carbon fiber. It would be a fun car to detail but even more fun to drive. To bad it's not street legal.

This is another one of my friend's son. It's another friend who's also into racing. He races in the Mazda Miata Series.

I'm not going back to Sao Paulo so there going to have to come and get me.

That was a Formula One car Truls. The cars look alike but are set up different. The Formula One cars are setup for a road course and the Indy cars are setup to run on a high speed oval track. One of these cars cost over $1,000,000. Don't forget your helment and to fasten your seat belt (6 point harness).

Surfer you could beat an Indy car off road in your SUV.

Those things are crazy, only 4cm (~2inches) of piston travel, 2.4 liter putting out 700+hp at 20,000 rpm.
