I finally found DG OTC!!!

I finally found DG at CarQuest this morning. I walked in, and almost fainted, haha. They had a ton of DG products, but no where near the entire line.

Anyways, I picked up the following for $35:

2 more bottles of AW
1 more bottle of #371 Absorb-It eliminator (thanks Justin for informing me on this product)
#101 AIO polish w/ free sample of #201 vinyl dressing
#652 Paint Cleaner (was looking for something cheaper than Klass AIO)
#271 Bumper/trim dressing. (Hopefully somewhat of a dye, I need something stronger than 303 in some cases)

yup, I did some research on the DG site and was very happy to find that there were carquests near me.

I picked up a 64 oz (1/2 gal) of DG CWC (the shampoo) for just under $14!! Just used it the other day, too - that stuff is GREAT!

Carquest has really cheap prices on DG stuff. I picked up a gal or CWC for 19.XX. It's great. It is just too bad they can't order a gal or AW. That would be awsome.

I am glad you found it at your Carquests !!!! I have called everyone around me (3) and they have no clue what I am talking about. I finally found some at a local Parts Plus store. They can order what I need but its a little more than Carquest and its not on sale.

Oh well...at least I don't have to pay shipping

Pat..try Federated Autoparts also....I get stuff there at times..if you have any near you....I got 105 for 7.99 and a gallon of shampoo for 19.00....they have specials alot on the car care stuff....plus what they do not have they can get...and best part is...if I am in no hurry to get it..when they deliver parts near me..they drop it off on the porch....little trick..set up a account with places and be surprised the benifits...lol....

There is a small Carquest near me that I orignally got my DG stuff at before ordering from AG. Problem with OTC is sometimes the products have ssat for a long time or were in storage before being put on the shelf, I'd rather have something fresh. But the Carquest near me, I don't even know how that place stays in business, it's seriously small, like a fraction the size of a normal Autozone or Nappa etc. And its hidden off a side street that even with Mapquest I could not find. Took me forever.

How the heck does that place stay in business when you can't even find it lol?

Surfer is right...as far as getting anything like 101 and 111 at a Carquest store you may end up with some very aged products...I did...I got a bad 111 last yar...was over 3 years old...

Get your sealants from a on line vendor like AG..you are assured you get fresh stuff....105 is new so what is in stores should be good....

Stuff like shampoo...AW and other car care stuff from DG in stores should be good...

Most people who go into a store the get wax and stuff ..look at names they know...Mothers..Meg's..turtle Wax and some others..DG is not well known to the home user...just to nuts like us...so DG's products sit and age...

buy your sealants fresh....they do degrade with age...

There is a little Carquest not far from work and they have all the DG stuff! The only thing I was looking for was their 901 carwash, which I couldn't find.

The good thing is that a ton of DG stuff at Carquest is now on sale until the end of May!!!

I need some of that Aquawax that everyone keeps on raving about...
