Errr... at least my tire did today.

I was driving home from work and heard a "whuming" noise from my left rear. Got home, pulled the tire off and noticed a nice 1/4 inch screw stuck in between the tread

I pulled the screw, and replaced it with the spare (luckily BMW provided a full size spare).

Anybody know what I can expect to pay for a decent repair?

i have had this happen more then a few times. I have paid at most 40 bucks, and the loss of the tire for the day.

it should be a quick in-expsnive fix

My vette only cost $24 at the dealer, and an hour. But a friend of mine, Mark, goes to a tire place and it only costs him $8. Then again, I have run flats. It took almost two months before I even knew i had picked up a screw in my tire.

I've had lots of screws in the Jeep, well since it's the Jeep I went to the cheapest palce and yup $8 to $10 was the best I found here in Canada.

I love it!

In regards to flat tire, no worries. Read my P21S Wheel Cleaner review. The reason I took the wheel and tire off is because there was a fat nail in there and I didn't want my wife driving with that.

It was $20 to get it plugged. DONE!
