I am getting a new car ! and i just wanted to know if there was anybody who is really good at applying opti coat 2.0 in the San jose California area....

it's great to know im not the only one in san jose! i talked to a professional detailer around here (not on AG though) and he quoted me 375-400 just for opti coat (-__-) and the car is relatively new and clean no swirls or anything i just wanna stick opti coat on it! hahaha

Was this a quote over the phone (without seeing the car)? There are quite a bit of prep work that goes into applying Opti-coat. The paint has to be almost perfect (ie. no contamination, no defects, and in most cases - the surface has to be strip of all protection). Once the product (Opti-Coat) has been applied, it is a pain to remove. Most detailers don't like to redo a car that has been Opti-Coated.

it was first over the phone and then i went there just to show it. but anyways ill consider paying that much just because i want this car fully protected... (its white)
