Re: Meguiars M188 Deep Crystal Coating

Thanks for the reference VT.

I dont usually follow it a lot as it moves to slow for me. I like this forum as it is more fast paced and many products being discussed here.

10-04

With so many people posting on multiple forums, the info usually trickles here anyway.

Planning on hitting SEMA this year?
The best show I attended was World of Concrete Sema Show at the LVCC...Stacked mad cheddar that week.

Re: Meguiars M188 Deep Crystal Coating

I do plan on attending SEMA.

These two are the detailing ones that i'm a member of. I don't see a need to be a part of any other detailing forum.

I take it that was a cinder block stacking contest?

Re: Meguiars M188 Deep Crystal Coating

Depending on a person's definition of durability...

Meguiar's M188 Deep Crystal Coatings - Long Test Mar 8- Nov 21, 2011

{NOTE: Not my review/photos.}
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

IN THE BEGINNING...Mar 8, 2011:

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

Nov.11, 2011:

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

Some contaminates' build-up from driving in almost non-stop rain conditions:

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

Nov.21, 2011…A chance to clean-up (M34/Cobra MF towels...BTW: M34<<<recommended):

__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________

-The owner of this vehicle was planning on using Reload to keep M188 freshened-up...
[I personally would use Optimum Car Wax(due too its characteristics!!),
or another spray-wax for M188's maintenance: "Topper/Drying-Aid"]

^^^Same 'things' some do to other 'Coatings...IMO!!^^^

To me...M188...Looks vvveeeerrrryyyy promising!!!

Caught my attention, that's for sure.

Good detective work FUN

Is this more of an enthusiast product? Or is it designed for the professional market in Asia?

Re: Meguiars M188 Deep Crystal Coating

Bob, it does look very promising.

Those last few pictures look like the car was just finished with an application but it has been months since the initial application.

Hi VT...
-I'm sure Michael Stoops, or a Meguiar's Asian-market rep.,
would be better qualified to give a more definitive answer;
but from what I've seen how M188 has been "advertised":

"A trained specialist" has direct access to M188.
(I take this as: Pro Detailer's only: ala Opti-Gard, CQuartz Finest restrictions)

-I could be wrong...Things might have changed since M188's introduction.

BTW: The M188 review/photos I posted are from Italy.
-So far, I've looked at M188 reviews from Detail-Forums located in
almost every Country where Meguiar's does business.

Most interesting/informative...to say the least.
