Mold on Brick Patio

Since we are all good at cleaning things off the heels of making our cars shiny, anyone have tips or tricks they use for cleaning mold off brick patio? APC? I have tried Wet N Forget with some success.

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

Bleach/water 50/50 then hit it with the PW, works wonders here.

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

I would say a pressure washer as well. Sure the bleach/water mix wouldn't hurt either.

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

Mild solution of muriatic acid/water spray on there let it sit and rinse it off. Muriatic acid shocks/kills mold, algae ETC. Thats how you shock pools of algae.

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

I had a nasty shower mold problem. Tried everything, didn't make a dent. The one thing that worked was a product called Mold Armor - Instant Mold & Mildew Stain Remover. Picked it up at Home Depot, about $5-$6. It's bleach based so definitely be careful. Worked wonders.

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

I just picked up a 2000 psi Karcher pw at Costco. The head that looks like a cone actually spins and provides much more effective cleaning than the other head. I cleaned some bad mold off the steps like it was nothing yesterday.

If you swing it too fast, then you cut Olympic rings everywhere though

Re: Mold on Brick Patio

Have PW'd the entire thing, but was looking to see if there was some other way or even maintenance between PW's. The PW blasts the sand out of the spaces, so then resanding and after resending repolishing mudroom and kitchen floors becuase there is sand all over. The circular PW attachedment is great, that is what I use. I will check out mold armor.
