I take care of many cars and many times I need to check the stop lamps. I know there is a bar the you put betwen the brake pedal and the steering wheel to keep the stop light on. Where can I get this tool ? How is it called?
The brake pedal only has to move a short distance to activate the lights. I use a heavy case that holds my car jack. Heavy enough to push on the pedal and large enough to stay in place so it won't fall off. And I already have it so I didn't have to buy a rarely used specialty tool
"Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." Lincoln's First Annual Message to Congress, December 3, 1861.
I would suggest a brick or piece of timber ,with smooth, rounded edges obviously...
Personally I use a cut down broomstick.
Another good option is use of a mirror. This allows you to check reverse, brake, tails, etc all without leaving your seat!
This may or may not be possible, depending on your location, etc
As mentioned I wouldn't pay money for something easily done for free.
