Yeah that would be the best bet.

Re: 99-04 mustang gt

As others previously stated, make sure you take it to a mechanic to do a complete check of the condition.

The Fox bodied Mustangs have a ton of aftermarket support. Sub frame connectors will really help firm up the car. These cars have a lot of flex that will be exposed especially if higher HP applications.

The manuals are not the smoothest feeling shifters. However, these cars are a great base and show enormous potential with smart upgrades.

Best of luck with your search

Re: 99-04 mustang gt

How has the mercedes been maintanence wise? I was considering getting a mercedes as my first car because the older ones are super cheap. Was looking at SL500's. But my brother talked me out of it because he said it would be expensive to maintain.

there is no doubt that the best cars and most comfortable cars are mercedes especially larger ones like s500s but you got to consider the technology in this car say an average toyota camry consists of 10,000 parts this will have more than 30k so there is a chance of more things going wrong. since i purchased the car last august i changed the brake pads, oil, rear tires, central locking pump, and now the front control arms are going bad.so basically only the control arms went bad but we had a flood and it burned the central locking pump. the parts are also very expensive. i ordered most of my parts from car-parts.com. go to this site and it will show the database of thousands of junkyards but always make sure they match the item number if it doesn't match it won't fit. I'm pretty sure ill get a mercedes in the future but next time i will get the car looked at by a mechanic and hopefully it will be a newer model. first of all go see one and test drive and see if you like it. the sl500 is a 2 seater.and make sure you have a good mechanic. it also depends on how much the car has been abused. my cousin has had a 1992 500sel but has spent over $15000 in repairs over the last 8 years. make sure you buy a later model as over time they have fixed many issues that have gone wrong with earlier models. 1992 is my cousins and 1999 is mine. i have the last year he has the first. good luck.
