AH Just got my 9500i in!!!

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd post some pictures of my new Escort 9500i, which is taking the place of my blue Passport x50. If you have any questions about it, I figured this would be a good thread. Here are some pictures, it's really dusty in my car right now...

Nice, I've heard good things about this unit. Don't know much about it but it's supposed to have a great range...again don't know much about it.

How was the installation? Difficult?

Trade it for V1, we have 6

Saved me the other day, showing arrows to the front and right, sure enough there was a cop ahead hidden. But kept going and the radar kept going off pointing foward and then to teh left, there was another cop but hidden on the left. I would have sped back up after passing the previous cop thinking it was stil detecting the him with any other detector, love them arrows lol.

This was on Military Trail since you live here.

UGH! V1? Don't even get me started... but to each their own.

Just a quick run down of new things I love, it displays your speed on alert, gps marking, auto volume, and auto brightness features are to die for.

As for the installation of the hardwire, it was very easy. I ran the mute down to where my arm normally rests and the power straight into the fuse box, giving it its own spot.

The performance is just a tad better than my x50, but the GPS features are amazing. I spent my first night driving to all the x band hotspots, marked all their locations, and I have yet to get a false. Five minutes after I turned it on, it spotted a FHP coming down a 35mph two-lane road, notorious for speeding, needless to say, I was fine... =)

slow down .... your not doing anyone any favors. Besides Florida is starting to install red light cameras in Pembroke Pines, that "can" also be tuned for speeding. Soon, they will likely visit all counties. Charlie Christ ...Charlie, may I have a minute of your time !!!!

Well, lucky for me, I can also manually log GPS locations for cameras, common areas for speed traps, etc etc. So, I think I am still pretty safe. As for Charlie Christ, I love that guy, but his popo buddies aren't going to get me, knock on wood, lol.

I consider myself an above-average driver, traveling a little over the speed limit on 75, 95, etc when the conditions are right. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEING RECKLESS AND SPEEDING. It is possible to speed a little and not be wreckless, I'm spretty sure we all agree...

That's how I drive and that's how people should drive. And I hate when there is someone if a carpool lane, driving 45MPH, when the rest of a freeway is moving 55+MPH (during traffic hours), obviously windows have not tint, and that car is just a traffic maker. And we all know what that is...there is no need to mention it.

HAHA, you have to drive over 75 on I-95, if you go any slower then 80 you'll get rammed by a Semi lol. I had to go to Fort Luaderdale the other day for a client, I was going 85 in my truck and still getting passed like crazy.

Yeh the cameras are popping up all over Boca. Only thing is, I think most still aren't working from the Hurricanes and they just kinda keep them there to scare. Though I did get a ticket awhile ago for being at a redlight and making a right hand turn on Yamato onto Federal, common sense right???...no, they put two small signs up that said no right turn on red......seriously after years of driving that road it was second nature like at any red light to make a right hand turn. Got a nice ticket for that.

Haha, I know exactly what youre talking about. I think the camera's are stickly for red light runners and video evidence for accidents. I don't think they are radar equipped.
