Check out these car options for our TV Show

Check out these car options for our TV Show

We start shooting our second season on January 9th, 2012 and we're going to need 52 cars in total, which equals 4 cars per episode for a total of 13 episodes. We're shooting one week in January and one week in February so we pretty much need 25 cars for each week. I have a list of cars we already have access too via local car buddies so we're not actually looking for 52 cars total, just a few more cars to supplement my current list.

What we're looking for...

We're looking for a wide spectrum of vehicles to choose from, this means new, exotic, classics, hotrods, streetrods, antiques, basically anything you could call

Special Interest with some kind of human interest story.

Here are a few more criteria for having your car on our TV show.
  • Vehicle must lend itself well to a detailing tip or technique - This is basically a show-n-tell session.
  • Vehicle must be in in good physical condition, that is no dents or wrecks
  • Vehicle must be brought to Autogeek's facilities

Since most people own, drive and work on "new" cars, (less than 10 years old), we're looking a selection of new cars, truck and even S.U.V's for the show.

We also want "COOL" cars that will attract "Car Enthusiasts" and "Do-it-yourselfers".

If you live within driving range of Stuart, Florida and would like to have your car considered for use on the second season, then send me an e-mail with a picture of your car.

Mike.Phillips@Autogeek.net

It's even possible you could be on the show with your car if your car is chosen.

If you're reading this and live in the area, then be sure to check out our Thursday night "Autogeek's Car of the Week" projects and if you've never been to Autogeek then attend one of these projects to see what we're all about.

I post a sign-up thread for each project here,

Sign-up For Autogeek's Car of the Week

And also at the bottom of the AutogeekOnline forum home page here,

AutogeekOnline.net
(Scroll to the bottom and look for pictures of the cars)

Thanks!

With no blower and a nitrous setup it made 713rwhp/833rwtq. This is all on the stock engine/stock transmission and stock suspension.

Sorry Mike, but that's a Packard. I think the concept for your new show is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it. I wouldn't want you to offend any of the Hudson or Packard fanatics who might be a potential candidate.

Re: Check out these car options for our TV Show

Damn! Going to a car cruise on December 14! How cool is that?
I have a friend who was originally from PA, now living in the Orlando area. When he visits home, we'll always hit a cruise or two. He maintains that the average northern car looks better than the average FL car. Since ours are garaged half the year, we're more likely to spend time on them while in hibernation, whereas the Florida guys who enjoy their cars are out driving them 12 months a year. Sounds logical, but your pictures put up a strong argument to the contrary.

Re: Check out these car options for our TV Show

There were a lot more cars at the cruise-in but most of the pictures I posted are of cars that that the owners are willing to let us use on our TV show.

I've sent the link to this thread to the Producer at Masters TV as he makes the decision. I found e-mail is not a very good way to share dozens and dozens of pictures so that's what this thread is really for, just a simple interface that ensures Butch can see the cars and then get back to me.

I think this is a little gem...

This is an all original 1964 1/2 Mustang including the original interior and paint...

It's been in the family since it was purchased new... that's kind of special.

Most of the cars need a little polishing to really showcase their uniques and beauty, I've invited everyone that I have a contact e-mail for to our Thursday night projects where they can see and learn how to use some really cool pads, product and tools that are better and faster than working by hand but very safe at the same time.
