Anyone from Seattle, WA here?

I'm going to Seattle, WA, for business next week. Can anyone recommend some good places to go eat? I've never been to Seattle before.

I hate chains, so anything one-off would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers!!!

There are a lot of good places along the waterfront. One place that has been there for many years is Ivar's on Lake Union. Great view of the city. Don't get confused by the Ivar's fast food locations. this is a nice sit down restaurant on the water. Seafood of course. There is also a great little cafe in Pike Place Market.

Gotta agree about the waterfront. Went thru this summer on our Alaskan cruise. Great town with GREAT seafood. Just had time to try the waterfront resturaunts. Gonna try and spend some more time there this summer on our way to Alaska again.

My brother lives in the Seattle area and I visited him this summer for his wedding. you have to stop at Pikes Market and see all of the foods as they have a few places to eat there. here are some pics from the market, from the space needle and on the ferry. the last one was driving on the freeway and bam , there is MT Ranier too bad you did not have time to check out MT Saint Helens, it was an awesome sight. I have a ton of pics from that trip and when the dry season hits, it is a great place for scenery.
