Help For A New "White" Car

Been reading the threads for a week or so and notice many white cars. I just bought a Toyota Avalon in Blizzard Pearl. Questions on detailing the new car; is it still adviseable to wash, clay, polish/glaze, seal and wax? Are there color-specific products that I should pay attention to with a white car? What's different if anything about detailing a new car? Love AG and listening to the experts and thanks for your help. Oh, this cars my wife's, the Vette's still my baby.

Don't feel discouraged if you don't get the same shine and depth as a darker colored car. My top pics would be Poorboy's EX-P and Pinnacle Signature Series II.

I would at least wash clay seal and wax a new car. If they car had any swirl marks or light scraches I would polish it. Try Liquid Souveran on white.

Okay, thanks for the responses. Temps here in mid-TN are currently not conducive to o/s work, but warmer stuff is on the way and I hope to start the process in a couple of days. I know I won't get the results you guys do, but your help will take me a lot further along then before. I haven't seen too many comments about Liquid Glass. I use it on my Vette, based on recommendations from some fest attendees. While I'm not an expert, the product seems to do a pretty good job, hard finish, gloss shine and durability. Is there no following for this product? Thanks again for your inputs.

There are some people who use it... a lot across the pond. They put on an absurd amount of layers though.. like 10?!? LOL If something works for you, go ahead and stick with it if you want. Everyone likes different things/products.

Since it's new, I would just do a very light polish. This will really crisp the surface up.

From experience, I've only used PB's Natty blue. I like it though for it gives it a slightly darker tone. For a white car, your really looking more for the reflections, wet, slickness look. I've heard DG 105 is a nice sealant on white, but have not tried it. I did like how it turned out on a very light blue vehicle that I did.

The one product that many will recommend for white which I really want to try is liquid Souveran. Supposed to be very good. I have two tubs of paste Souveran on the way.

Best advice that can ever be said in detailing IMO.

yup, I'm sure that in short time clay will become your best friend... contaminants become painfully visible on white more quickly compared to darked colors

Did a 2000 Toyota Avalon, white pearl today. After swirl removal I applied DG105 and then Aquawax by hand. It turned out WOWIE! I'll use it alot now.
