Most definitely! I leave with a bucket already mixed with ONR and a bag with other essentials- not enough for a correction but enough to keep her clean. Sometimes I'll get 'lucky' and find a 'do it your self' carwash or it's the hotel parking lot...

I'm driving from MS to FL for detail classes next week.....

Re: road trip bugs galore

If you seal your car with a paint coating like GTechniq C1, Opti-Coat / Guard or the like, you only need a strong blast of water to get the bugs off (I have C1 on).

Mostly glass stuff, but sometimes will carry bug/wash products.
A couple of years ago one of the guys drove to Detail Fest with the leading edges of his car taped with masking tape. Worked well if I remember.

I got Opti Coat on the front, but it isn't just bugs, but dirt & dust in general. Especially if I'm staying more than a few days where I'm going I wanna look good I drive a truck, so it isn't a hassle to carry. I've seen guys use tape, even SaranWrap- never tried it...yet

Re: road trip bugs galore

This is one of the reasons why it's very important to protect the finish of any car.

Protective coating such as sealants, waxes, and the new Nano coatings provide a barrier so these little pesky's innards won't become fused to the paint. This of these coatings as sacrificial layer. An additional is they make the removal of these suicide runs much easier.

If you do happen to fins a manual car wash the high pressure wand should make short work of these. Another alternative is to stop into a WalMart or local auto store and pick up some wash, a bucket, and a sponge...
