Edge Pads plant visit....

I was able to take a quick tour of Edge Pads the other day. I like to thank Aaron for taking his time to show me how his pads are made. Aaron was able to explain why the Edge 2000 system is superior to the traditional backing plate. I scares me to know a standard pad can delaminate(sp?) during operation.

I was able to see foam and wool pads being made during the tour. The machines computer controlled and lazer guided. During the tour they were making black wool pads and white foam pads. They also making 4" pads, which I looking forward to....hint hint AG.

They were not making any ShMitt's, but Aaron did show me how they are made and the different variations of them. I was lucky enough to receive one from Aaron...thanks!!!!!!

Aaron also showed me improved plastic plates for the Edge 2000 system. They are stronger and engineered better than previous version.

Once people open up and see why the Edge 2000 system and ShMitt are superior, I think Aaron's company will take off. Aaron explained to me, he only sells to the chemical companies that make the waxes and in turn they sell them to their distributors.

Thanks Again Aaron for your time

Ken
PS sorry no pics

Aaron and EDGE are to me, one of the most innovative companies out there. They do their homework and listen to the consumer. They are always looking to make a detailer's life easier and more productive.

I wonder how many hours sleep Aaron gets?

LOL!

He doesn't try to make the same old products everyone else does. He strives to make different and innovative products.

His only problem is getting people to step away from what they know, and try something new. A tough task indeed!

i like the shmitts and will continue to buy them, mine is starting to rip around the opening, but does anybody else like to use it without putting their hand inside? mitts always felt weird to me personally so many times i just hold the shmitt and wash, works great that way too.
i also like the edge pad system but i think i might send a PM to the guys at edge on a recommendation on how to better the system
