AutoTraderClassics.com - Polishing Old School Aluminum Slotted Mag Wheels

Received an e-mail from Brian Medford, the Editor for AutoTraderClassics.com to let me know they've published my article on how to restore old school slotted mags to their website.

I sent Brian a thank you via e-mail but would also just like to say thank you to him and Michael Boulton, the National Account Executive for AutoTraderClassics.com also...

    Thank you!

    Very cool....

Question: I have always wondered why you put a link in the body of your post that brings you right back to the same thread. For instance, if I click on the AutoTraderClassics.com - Polishing Old School Aluminum Slotted Mag Wheels link you posted above, it circles me back to the excat same thread I was at.... This seems to be a standard practice for these posts from you and I am sure there must be a good reason that I am just not grasping.

    Thx.

So when I want to share the article somewhere else on the Internet, the link to the article is already coded and ready to go. It also makes it easy for anyone else to share the link to the article. It's a habit, good or bad that I developed years ago after brining up the MOL forum.

This morning I've already shared the custom blue clickable link to this thread.

I also have an article on it and the article title is a custom, blue clickable link so that I can quickly and easily copy and paste it anyone on the Internet, like this...

How to share an article using a blue clickable link

I just answered a question on the upcoming wetsanding class in January on Bimmerforums and part of my answer was a custom, blue clickable link to an article I've already written that applies to the topic the forum member is asking about, you can see how I used the pre-formatted link here,

    Answer to question on Bimmerforums

This is a technique that helps me to help others faster as I don't have to code links each time I want t share a webpage and it's my personal preference to make a link have a title and be blue like the standard everyone is used to when surfing the web.

If you write a lot of articles and share a lot of articles, (that's two things), then you would probably do something similar.

    Great question!
