Respect

Respect

On Friday, August 14th, 2009 I did my first detail job since moving to Florida from California and after just washing the car I have a new found respect for all you Florida Detailers.

It was hot and very humid and after just washing and drying the car my shirt was so wet with sweat that it was like dipping it in water and then putting it back on. Anyone doing mobile detailing or even mobile car washing in Florida in August is as tough as Stainless Steel Nails!

Keep in mind this was done early in the morning before it even got hot outside!

Luckily after washing and drying the car I then pulled it into the AG Garage which is air-conditioned and was able to finish the detailing work in a much more comfortable environment.

Stretching

So my hat's off to all you Florida Detailers as you have my respect.

Re: Respect

haha, come up to NC were the humidity will kill you when you working all day outside haha. Seriously need a ACed garage or get a portable one to turn on the night before to cool down for polishing. Sucks when you are doing a nice final wipe down after waxing and you get drips of sweat

Re: Respect

Now that Mike has adjusted to our temperature, we will have to show him life with Hurricanes now!
Got a few potential storms brewing out there... so we will have to educate him on hurricane life, bottled water, how ice turns to gold, the joys of living with no electricity... ahh the fun in Fla!

Re: Respect

Then afterward we can have a good review how to work on products at hot and very humid area's. That will be a big and really helpful review for me. Do have fun

I hear that. I stuck around for one of those Hurricanes once while I was on vacation down there. Never again. 7 or 8 hours of 100 mph wind is not for me. The Floridians said " That is weak one " Ha! Not for me.

Re: Respect

Maybe you should start wearing cooling bandans when you work like these: Cooling Bandana S-13925 - Uline
