| | | Help with business name Yup, buddy and I are going off on our own. Already checked a ton of offices the last week and settled on one that happens to be about 5 minutes from my house, damn rush hour will be a b!tch in the morning
We've gone through a list of names, few we really liked were already taken. Right now we settled on something simple, R.C. Funding (for our names, Richy and Chris). But I'm open to any ideas some on here may have, we'd prefer it to end with "Funding".
I've already got us hooked up for a seminar in October among other stuff, I take the biz very seriously and love it. Makes it easier with all the scam artist and bs'ers getting out of it b/c they don't know how to generate business. I'm still getting calls but can't do anything right now untill fully setup. I do a little of everything from refi's, purchases, lots of investment referrals, and even commercial which is a completley different beast from residential. And no I'm not the kinda that randomly calls at home or calls a lead that's been sold 30 times, those are the Boiler Room guys as I like to call them lol.
Going to nice to be truly self employed, I don't have the patience to work for somebody. Everyone in my family is part of or owns a business, so maybe it was the way I was raised lol. Meghan played a part also b/c she said she wanted to get rid of the beast from our driveway, something about an H1 Hummer or lifted Excursion, said the "Beast" was too small

I guess that's how you know you have a good plan and contacts when you go out on your own in an industry that many others are getting out of or failing at . Luckily my clients love me as I'll pry be down for another week or two before everythings setups but their still staying with me, even the ones whose deals are almost ready to close when they could easily go somewhere else and get it done before I'm finished with the office and everything else.

| | Congratulations on becoming self employed! I wish you success. Do you have a company slogan already? I think whatever name you choose for yourselves should go well with your slogan. Just my 2 cents.

| | Signed the lease for the office, looks like we decided on the name, but we'll have our own DBA for the website (but the website itself with have the corp name). I'll get pictures up off the office and everything, right now just he and I but we already have friends of ours in the biz who already want to work for us because they know how we are and the connections we have to generate business.
A lot of companies depend on telemarketing and cold calling which is not me, too much lying and bs'ing from those guys (I'm sure Scott, Killr, knows about this as well). Most of mine is referral and targeted marketing. Luckily I know my sh!t, lot of companies are dropping out of the business b/c they were more of mom and pop type shops or even large companies like the one I was at before but was based in Ohio and though what worked for Ohio works here, Cali and Fl are the two most unique markets in the U.S. If you don't know how to target your business or generate your own stuff and rely upon buying bs leads, your going to be stressed and going crazy just to make a living.
Much spending $$$ for AG now , I'll buy so much Pinnacle that Scott will never get to use it again

because... well... you like to Surf and you are provinding funding for "turf"....
Im sorry.. thats bad!!! :-)

(Really you just want it so you can load all of your boards in it, and be able to drive right out on the beach to go surf! ) | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
