| | | Ipod speakers........ Anyone have a good suggestioon for a decent set of speakers for an Ipod? I wanna start using mine outside as I'm working on the car but my gut feeling is speakers such as the Logitech Pure-Fi are more geared towards traverlers so they won't be loud enough. Mine doesn't need to be moble nor have a rechargeable battery, it needs to be loud enough for me to hear outside with decent sound quality.

| | | Re: Ipod speakers........ Honestly the best thing I've used for one is the Bose Sounddock for the iPod. One of the bands I work for requires it to be setup in the dressing room every show. It's loud as hell. I have one in my workbox too actually. It's loud enough that I can crank it up and usually hear it over a guitar cabinet on the back side of my workbox. They are pricey, but worth it. And I'm not even a big Bose fan. I think their home theater systems suck actually. |

| | | Re: Ipod speakers........ I have a Kicker sounddock for my ipod. Its very loud and clear. I have it in my garage for when me and my rommies have parties. We will have 40+ people in there, you can still here the music crystal clear. I can even hear it perfectly clear over my dewalt and pc. Its pricey like the Bose but well worth it. Also comes with a great warranty.

I second the Bose sounddock. Nice unit but pricey. But then again, so is a Ferrari.

| | | Re: Ipod speakers........ I have to add the Bose is also very rugged. I've had mine for 2 years, it's been all around the world shipped in my work box via freight (Soundmoves, Rockit Cargo, etc), and my work box has gotten pretty beat up, and this thing has been beaten up inside it. Still working great, used it on just about every type of power out there. |

I have the non-portable version and it sounds fantastic. The two versions (plug vs battery) both sounded good when I was testing them out. |

| | | Re: Ipod speakers........ No worries.
That's one of the reasons I don't like the Bose home theater. Not enough customization for my tastes. I'm a monitor engineer (along with all kinds of backline), so good sound is a must for me at home. In the workbox though that thing kills! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
