Re: Even Raccoons like a good reflection

I think you guys should make them pets, they look like they could be fun. But I agree I would def. get them vaccinated if you want to bring em inside to guard the fuzion.

Gah! They're pests you guys...shoot 'em or have Animal Services get them outta there. You're gonna hate 'em when they grow up! They'll find a way into the warehouse and will tear up everything.

I tend to agree. This little guy showed up last year, wet and alone. Felt sorry for him and fed him. He now is around all the time and has torn his way into our screened in porch to get into a galvanized pail we use for bird food. Now have to keep it in the house. They don't forget where they found food and will find a way in.

Curious little guys. They like to wash their food so how about a 5 gallon bucket with grit guard, lol.

Re: Even Raccoons like a good reflection

They are cute little guys but like already mentioned-they can become a PITA. We have been having a problem with one getting in our trash can. Its the biggest raccoon I have ever seen and when we open the door to yell and scare it away-it just looks at us like we are crazy. It has no fear which concerns me(rabies). We brought the trash cans inside tonight hoping it will move on.

Plan on keeping the cans inside at night for quite awhile.

Re: Even Raccoons like a good reflection

It's pretty amazing how wild animals are getting acclimated to humans being near them.

2 days ago, a doe birthed a new fawn at my fence (I have a creek at the back of my property). This was in spite of having a Lab and Pitbull around the yard. She knew they would not jump the fence so it was safe.

Year's ago I had a raccoon rip some wood shingles off the roof of my house and make a nest in my attic insulation...she was ready to give birth to a litter. That would have been a mess. Animal control got her out of there before that happened. Raccoons can be super destructive to property.
