wolfgang deep gloss sealant

I know you let the sealant cure for 12 hours. Is there any way to speed up the curing time, say like letting the car set in direct sunlight for the 5 to 6 hours. Or maybe by using 500 or 1000 watt quartz lights.
I would hate to let my car set outside while the curing process takes place on another car. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: wolfgang deep gloss sealant

All I know for sure is that the drier the air (less humidity) the quicker the cure time.

EDIT: so to add to this, if I use a sealant (rarely), I apply it early in the morning so it has all day to cure. (Never overnight because of dew)

You could PolyCharge it.

What would the poly charger do as far as speeding up cure time.

Re: wolfgang deep gloss sealant

It makes it cure instantly, you can do 2 or 3 coats back to back and they are fully cured. It will also increase durability as well (don't know how long thought)

Re: wolfgang deep gloss sealant

When I got the Test kit from David..I asked about it being a fast curing agent..he replied NO..its a enhancer for the appearance and durability....not a curing agent...

Sorry, you still need to wait the 12 to 24 hours.

Re: wolfgang deep gloss sealant

I have noticed that heat, (not humidity) can help speed up a sealant but following the factory offered cure time is to get the most durability from the product.

i contacted 4* on this and it does indeed speed curing time. they wouldnt give a specific time but it does. just look at what it does to a sealent if you let it sit...it hardens right?

the best i understand it is that it does start cross linking immediately just like zaino zfx does. now either 4* doesnt have any proof of this or they just wont make a claim like zaino. not zaino bashing here either, i have tons of zaino products in my collection as well.

just another note, 4* said wait 3 hours before applying a second layer

yes it will harden over the course of a few days....hardening does not mean curing...curing is the crosslinking a sealant goes thru when it molecular bonds to the paint....

If they say it does then it does..I was a beta tester for the PC and was told no it does not excellerate curing and that recent post from Lynn also said no...a few posts on topia have same answers...
