Goin nuts...I need to detail something!

So I have so many new things to try this year. In Jan. I bought some SSII...month later Max decides to have a nutty sale for Souveran, so I buy a tub of that. Still waiting for my Flex to arrive and be shipped out to me. Other new stuff: some white MF bonnets, Cobra cross groove pads, 8oz SystemOne X3, Surf City QDer with 'nuba (can't remember the cool name), HD Guzzler, SchMITT, ONR as a QD and Clay Lube...

I think I need more than 2 cars...although the Stang is going to get a lot of attention. I need to pretty it up for sale this spring so I can buy more go-fast goodies for my Mazdaspeed3!

I WANT to try a new sealant for the summer to use as a base for the Souveran, but I think I should stick with my Klasse/Wolfgang combo. My neighbors are going to wake up some time this spring or summer to me detailing their car without them asking. They have a gray RSX-S that needs some work and a new black xterra that's bound to have swirls since I saw the wife washing incorrectly...good thing I party with them. They know I'm OCD about detailing though.

I feel your pain. It's been too long since I did a detail on a car, truck, motorcycle, lawn mower etc.
Come on Spring!!!

Nope, I'm in St. Louis where it was 70 degrees Sunday and we had 14" of snow in some areas by Tuesday afternoon.

I'm lost here you're going to sell the fast car to buy the slower car go-fast parts? And there is no rule that says you cant detail your bathroom sinks/tubs and some kitchen appliances. I've done it when bored and to hot/cold out.

Souveran looks great on my black mica ms3. I'm going to try wolf gang seland topped with Souveran see how that loooks. How are you liking the Mazdaspeed 3? I bought mine Nov of 06 and it puts a smile on my face just about every day. what mods are you looking to get? cold air intake is a must for this car. i had the mazdaspeed intake but probably will get cobb sri when its carb leagal.

stock for stock a Ms3 isn't much slower then a Mustang GT, at least a 2000. the newer ones are faster but not much with minor mods intake, down pipe the ms3 will be faster. stock mazdaspeed3 runs low 14's to high 13's in the quarter compared to 2007 mustang gt runs 13.8 in the quarter. So its really a drivers race. off the roll mazdaspeed 3 is a beast.

Re: Goin nuts...I need to detail something!

Hola BlkMS3!!!

I'm the same MadOzodi on the Mazda3forums and Mazda247 forums. As far as mods go:

CPE-CAI (red), Cobb SRI (in living room waiting for AP)
AWR 70 durometer MM
Aeroforce Scangauge mounted in a Mearcat gaugepod
18x8 48et Rota P1s in Hyper Silver (stock rubber going on this weekend; waiting for warmer weather to mount on car)
Dunlop Wintersport M3s 225/45/18 on stock rims
35% Infinity OP tint

Waiting for warmer weather to install my speedbleeders and ATE Super Blue for the DE in April.

I'm not going to do anything else until I get the Cobb AP.

Wystang, the beauty of the Mazdaspeed3 is that it's a sleeper. It handles MUCH better than my stang which is on H&R Supersports w/Maximum Motosports CC plates & LCAs, FRPP UCAs, & Tokico Premiums, Magnaflow catted X-pipe + Borla catback. It's definitely faster from a roll.

I'm Drock13 on the mazdafourms. i don't post much there. its a good place for info though
NICE... I can't wait for people to get the AP. i want to see what it unleashes. Right now i'm running stock i had problems with the MSCAI. it sucks. as soon as cobb gets carb certs i'm getting that possibly the AP also . I want to get cobb suspension stage 2 but right now i'm spending too much money on here. haha.

yep its a sleeper no doubt. no one knows the difference they see my car and just think its some regular 4 banger. its great.

Re: Goin nuts...I need to detail something!

Well thanks for the update I just googled the specs and those are quick lil cars there (I had no idea). I figured they handles better and maybe you were into the corner carving or something. Cool I can see why you would sell the stang and continue with that one. Heck if they didn't require Premium I would consider the 07' model. But with gas looking like it's going to hit $4 a gallon this summer. I'll keep my slow 5oh a lil longer.
