    Meguiar's DynaCone?

    Meguiars DynaCone Wheel Polisher

I saw this in the new product section today and noticed this statement in the second paragraph.

"The yellow foam easily conforms around curves and bends, to easily polish all types of wheels."

Has it been determined that this is now safe for all wheel finishes including cleared and painted rims.

I just purchased the DynaCone kit the other week OTC and was researching it over on MOL.

On MOL it seemed the consensus was that the cone alone, regardless of the polish used, was was only recommended for unfinished wheels. I believe it was said that it may work but might not leave the best finish on painted or clear coated wheels. Or, basically said, do at your own risk.

Has this been proven wrong and is it now recommended for finished wheels?

Edit: Or should it read "to easily polish all types of unfinished wheels."

I took one of these home as soon as we received it (I, um, have a habit of doing that with new products... ), and I would have no issue using the DynaCone (with the appropriate polish) on the dark grey painted/clear coated wheels on my WRX.
