I used my Griot's polisher with fine results using Lake Country Pads and the our Polishes/Glaze/Waxes. It has a fairly standard hook and loop backing plate that worked well with the Lake Country pads we put in our kit. Here was a quick pass using the Griot's orbital with the GlossHaus stuff:

Here's the good news - you can pretty much sell any of these things used for a high percentage of what you paid. You're likely to get good results with any of them.
For me, the progression to a Flex was natural, but it is worth having the PC around even if I didn't need it for demos, etc.
Net: You aren't likely to go wrong, and you can either double up or get some of your money back later.
