I seriously doubt they would give me both units, and dont know I could actually make a video anyhoo. I suspect that once Mike Phillips sets his cap down at AG we "could" see alot of comparisions and other videos.

I am definetely up for testing both machines (note to Meghan) ...

Also, the comparison video, comparo/write-up with pictures, et.al. would be an excellent "tool" for us novices (or anybody else who want's to make an informed decision). How about doing that AG??

See ya
I used my Griot's polisher with fine results using Lake Country Pads and the our Polishes/Glaze/Waxes. It has a fairly standard hook and loop backing plate that worked well with the Lake Country pads we put in our kit. Here was a quick pass using the Griot's orbital with the GlossHaus stuff:

(we were playing with water - watching it pool on the "old" paint and run right off the "new")

Here's the good news - you can pretty much sell any of these things used for a high percentage of what you paid. You're likely to get good results with any of them.

For me, the progression to a Flex was natural, but it is worth having the PC around even if I didn't need it for demos, etc.

Net: You aren't likely to go wrong, and you can either double up or get some of your money back later.

Re: New Griots 6 Inch Polish- New and Improved!

I wish this was available sooner, I ordered new unit from Griot's the other day and paid their ridiculous shipping rates.

Anyway ...

I really doubt you'll be unhappy. The specs look strong, and their return policy is really terrific (180 days). I'd appreciate it if you'd post some comments when you get it.

Not only that, but everything they sell has a lifetime guarantee.

That is my expectation (I do have little bit of experience with polishers and suppliers), or otherwise I would not have ordered it, that is not what I was commenting on.

Due to experiences I've had when I did similar stuff before nowadays I leave sales support to those that profit from such effort and do things only for my own pleasure.

Re: New Griots 6 Inch Polish- New and Improved!

The lifetime warranty is with Griot or AUTOGEEK's ?

Is there a warranty on the Griot in Canada, if I buy it from AUTOGEEK's and have it shipped to Canada ?

Is there a warranty on ANY Buffer if I buy it from AUTOGEEK's... and have it shipped to Canada ?

Everybody says contact AUTOGEEK's and they'll make it right. Would I have to ship the Tool back to the USA for repair or replacement ? This added Postage for a repair or replacement, may offset the "Great Deal" in the beginning.

Just wondering... and waiting for Meghan to chime into one of my Topics.

Re: New Griots 6 Inch Polish- New and Improved!

If the specs were right the 7amp motor is much more powerful than the 4.2 pcxp. 7 amps is flex power so for the money it seems to be a winner. The pads from LC in 6.5 will work on the BP sipplied with the Griots polisher.

I will chime on all....
Griots products warranty is extended to all of their products whether you buy from us or them. As for if you ship it to Canada I would imagine that Griots would hold you for the shipping fees to them to replace it but would cover sending out the new one to you. And if they don't we will.
