Re: The Edge FLEX XC 3401 Conversion Adapter

So am I right in understanding that we can use 4" pads with this adapter, on the Flex 3401?

NM. I just read the page for the adapter. This is pretty sweet. I just need to start saving my pennies. The price is pretty steep for my wallet at the moment.

Re: The Edge FLEX XC 3401 Conversion Adapter

I have mine, works flawlessly so far. I can apply significant pressure with NO CONTACT of the felt pad to adapter that replaced the backing plate. I read that some had had that problem, that won't happen with this system.

Re: The Edge FLEX XC 3401 Conversion Adapter

So the benefits of this Conversion Adapter is so that the Double-sided Pads are centered properly ?

That's it ???

Has anybody in this Forum done a Single-sided Pad cost comparison with the Edge Double sided Pads.

Are 2 Singles cheaper than one Double sided ?

This $50 Adapter would be a few Bucks more in Canadian Dollars... and I'm not sure it's that great !

I got my heart set on a Flex, but I like the Griot for it's Bail Handle(sort of similar to the Flex) and it's cheaper price.

there's no comparison, Flex if you decide between the two. also, i would wait and see what the concensus is on the griots D/A before purchasing, even though the stats say it's got a more poweful motor, otherwise i would get the pc7424xp or the G110...

I'm pretty sure the new Griot's polisher IS the PC7424 XP, with a different housing. It seems to have the same performance specs. The old Griot's polisher was a PC with a different housing. I would definitely get the Griot's over the regular XP.

I rather like the power of the Flex on its own, and relucant to move to Edge pads only because it works so darn well with even the standard Lake Country pads.

I have to agree with you about how well the Lake Country pads work with the Flex, but I do enjoy having the ability to use the Edge pads when I get in some tight areas where I'm afraid of bumping into a painted area with the back plate. I can understand some folks wanting to avoid the extra cost, but for me they're worth the money.
