Re: Mytee Lite Hot Water Carpet Extractor

Does anyone know if Mytee makes an attachment for carpet in the home for this model? I have a few apartments I manage and I was planning to rent a carpet cleaner to clean them after tennants left but if I could use this machine for those units and for my cars, that may justify the purchase price.

Also, it says the heater is 1000 watts. I assume the motor uses a large amount of power also. Would a 3000 Watt generator be enough for this?

Nevermind about the home carpet attachment, I went on the web and found the answer. Mytee does offer the attachment, but it is over $100

However, I do wonder if a 2000 watt generator would power it? Or would going to a 3000 watt generator be required?

So the Lite is powerful enough for home carpets also? I figured it may need the lift and PSI of its big brothers the HP60 or HP100.

Re: Mytee Lite Hot Water Carpet Extractor

I would go for the larger models if your primary purpose is home carpets but the lite will work. The tank is larger enough for one room at a time. If you load it with hot water it only takes a few minutes to reach the top temp.
The lite is very portable if you are taking the extractor on mobile details. The larger models are more powerful but not as mobile and not as fast to change the water.
The break away top tank is very handy.

Re: Mytee Lite Hot Water Carpet Extractor

This is a nice unit, but it's just too big for my mobile set up. I have a Aztec Hot Rod Hot Spotter. It fits into my truck. I would have to lay that unit down and it takes up alot of space. I guess if I had a van it would work. Then I wonder if my generator would be powerful enough to run it.

Is the break away tank available on all models or just the lite?

Re: Mytee Lite Hot Water Carpet Extractor

i believe that the larger mytees have a tilt/pour spout. check out their site or do a general search. some others on this board own the larger models i think. maybe they will chime in.
for a little more than the aztc/duramaid, i think the mytee lite 8070 is more versatile and runs longer.

HP60 is another fine machine, I have an Aztec Hot Rod and it has been awesome so far.
