Review: Eco touch waterless car wash polish

Eco Touch Waterless Car Wash + Polish, eco friendly car wash, eco touch waterless wash spray

Ok, I was hoping someone else would post a review first so I could compare notes, but that didn't happen. I agreed to do a review upon receiving a sample of this product. First of all, my vehicle wasn't very dirty. The product bottle looks high quality, sprays nice, and has a pleasant smell. This product was different than any other products I have used and I don't have much experience with waterless washes. I sprayed my hood exactly like the video on the web page listed above. I misted my mf towel then proceeded to wipe as the bottle suggests. It cleaned very well, but it didn't feel very slick (like qd's, DP4-1), and I let it dry to a haze as suggested. When I went to remove the product after 5-10 minutes, it wasn't easy to remove and smeared, or streaked, which I was not expecting. It left the surface "dry", not slick, as it seemed to remove the wax I had applied the week before. After working with it for a little while, I lightly misted again and repeated the procedure, with exactly the same results. It started to rain soon after using it and it seems as though I was correct in my assuming that it removed my wax because there was no beading left. I don't know if this was user error or the product didn't work well for me, but something definitely didn't work right. I guess I am more used to quick detailers and DP 4-1, which are really easy to use and leave the surface slick after using.

I promised I would do a review, and I hope I don't get flamed for incorrect use or being honest with my review. I feel that I followed the directions 100%, but perhaps there's something I missed. I am to assume that this is not an LSP type of product, but more of a "prep" type product in which you would have to apply an LSP afterwards. I hope I am not the only one that didn't have good luck with it.

Any suggestions, tips, etc., would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone add to this that have used it?? Perhaps I will use it again in the near future and add to this post.

Don't feel bad, if the product suxs, so be it. After reading your results it makes me wonder where the name came from.
Car wash polish?, maybe it should have said car wax stripper.
Whats the point of a review if you aren't honest?

I beg to differ. I know it doesn't say "wax", but it does mention "slick polymers". Have you tried it??

From the description:

"Eco Touch Waterless Car Wash contains plant-derived surfactants that loosen and lift dirt off the paint, glass, plastic, and metal. An organic solvent derived from soy safely cuts grease and grime without harming any surface of your vehicle. A water-based polymer gives the paint slickness and shine that rivals the best waterless wash products on the market!"

I have to admit that the words "waterless wash and POLISH" leaves me scratching my head though Reminds me of an AIO(wash) in it's purpose, but it falls short IMO by not leaving the surface as slick as expected.

Re: Review: Eco touch waterless car wash polish

I gave this stuff another chance and tried it on the side of my vehicle and got the exact same results. I'm sorry, but this stuff is a PITA to remove. With the streaking/smearing it leaves and you almost have to use another product(qd) to remove smearing completely unless you want to sit there for 10 minutes trying to get it off a panel. I would be more than willing to ship this to someone else to try. First person to PM me will receive it as long as they also do an honest review upon trying it. Good luck!

Nice review. Not all products are going to be great, there are bound to be some things that just don't work as well as we'd like them to. I appreciate the time you took to give us this review. Thanks!
