Re: what is the best polish out there on the market
FG400 is one of the top polishes available. The next step would be a finer menzerna polish as a follow on step.

The polishing step after compounding won't yield as massive of a difference as the initial compounding/correcting step. You can follow with a myriad of finishing polishes/aio's/lsps's and will still be chasing the shine and left wanting. This is the eternal, endless obsession...

Re: what is the best polish out there on the market
Good info here , I chuckled acouple times lol. I would like to add that you can do so many things to attain a shine . its a sickness that never goes away. Lol. Why dont you try a glaze, then seal or wax that? I keep five different polishes , they all are subject to use on any given color or paint type. If you want a mirror shine, you need to completely level the paint so there is no orange peel. Have it be completely contaminate free, fully corrected, polished. Ect..
A carnuba bases filler glaze or jeweling glaze. /wax will bring out the color. Or finishing polish the wax. I like every polish out there but its hard to say this is it. It all depends.
I would recommend a three step system using all one line of product.
I use Pinnacle products, Mequires, Wolfgang, ect..

IMO:
The "best" polish depends upon your goal.
•For example:
-I can polish a vehicle' paint to where it appears,
to me, to have reached the pinnacle of its most
brilliance---my goal---with using 3M's Imperial
Hand Glaze: a most mild of the mildest polishes
out there...
-while other people may poo-poo this
particular polishing process for its lack of
"abrasives-related aggressiveness"; i.e.: in
their opinion probably not the "best" polish.
•But since I reached my goal...
-I used the "best" polish. At least
for this task.

Sir, would 3M's Imperial Hand Glaze be considered like Menzerna 4500 (3800)? Too bad I can't find where I live, this product got my attention and curiosity.
