conditioning motorcycle leather

I am looking for suggestions on products to condition the saddle bags on my cruiser. I purchased it used and the bags are pretty weathered (to the point where it is hard to fasten them)

I was originally thinking leatherique but am unsure how to go about 'baking' the product in. I also came across a suggestion for the pinnacle kit.

What is the general consensus for a good conditioning product? I am under the impression that lexol, armor-all, etc will simply protect the bags when i need to restore them.

Re: conditioning motorcycle leather

I would use the Leatherique if they are in that bad of shape. Im not sure if that kit leaves behind protection since you clean on the last step. Maybe someone can help on letting you know if you need to follow with a protectant.
