Hello from Chicago!

I just wanted to drop a line and say greetings from the north. Just received my first of possibly many orders.

I'm going to apply the Optimum Car Wax as a LSP over Megs NXT on a black vehicle, what should I expect?

I'd try it out however we are getting rain for the next couple of days so I must wait....

Ok, I got a chance to apply the OCW this morning...

We had a break in the rain so I had a chance to QD my car and then apply the OCW. The application was different than what I expected but I was able to figure it out, I think. I did not really have a chance to asses what I did before work but I will share if anyone is interested?

Also, I found some information about Colinite (sp?) #476 being a great way to winterize the paint for the winter. Is it safe to assume that this product can be applied in early November and last till early March?

Thanks to all that look and/or answer, I have a list of questions just waiting till I understand more about the products and the processes. Specifically, how to remove swirls and scratches with a PC, etc.

Thanks again,

Cedric

Nice to see you here..
theres a lot of good info and more then enough people willing to help..we have a few people who are familiar with collinite products so hold tight..

Duragloss products are another option you can look into..very easy to use and should hold up pretty good in the winter months ...

also theres plenty of detailing tips at=the top right hand corner of your screen under Quick Refference Links..

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm actually in Hyde Park by the Science and Industry and U of C. Also thanks for pointing out the links on the side of the page. I've been concentrating on the messages in the forum that I overlooked those nice options.
