Hi & a couple of questions

Hi, I'm new at this. In the past it was a quick car wash and I'm on my way. But I've learned a new appreciation for car detailing. So,

Question 1) So you detail your car; it gets dirty. Do you take it to a car wash for the in between times or do you hand wash with.....?
Question 2) I'm buying a new Honda. Anyone have an idea how Honda finishes their cars? I mean, do I take it home & put a great quality wax on it or does Honda put on a great quality wax and I can relax for a few months?

Thanks for your thoughts & insights.
Bill

Re: Hi & a couple of questions

1) Rule #1 stay far far far far far far far away from automatic car washes and "get you in and out asap car washes". Best thing to do is hand wash it using quality wash mitts and soap.
2) Wash and wax/sealant as a matter of fact don't let the dealer "detail" it for you. Do it yourself, they use a stiff brush and the same dirty soap water for many cars.
