New to the forum , and autogeek

Hello all. I have a 2007 FJ cruiser . I have been using products from the auto parts stores for years to attempt to keep my vehicles looking the best I could. I have never really been satisfied with the results. I have had my FJ for almost two years now, and the cheap micro fiber towels and the fine scrathes they leave along the water spots that never go away have pushed me over the edge, and I did a little online shopping yesterday. I went ahead a got me a PC and the wolfgang line of products, for the most part. As well as a windshield kit to help with the notoriously unpopular and chip and abrasion happy toyota glass. I hope I will be able to get some decent results. I will of course have to get some before and after pics for you guys and gals to look over....

Here is what I ordered....

1 PCW-2000 - Wolfgang Porter Cable Swirl-Free Kit
2 LC-78-64650DA - CCS 6.5" White Polishing Pad
1 LC-78-74650DA - CCS 6.5" Gray Finishing Pad
2 LC-78-94650DA - CCS 6.5" Blue Finessing Pad
1 DP-730 - DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator
1 PIN-620 - 16 oz. Pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator w/3 oz. Me
1 COBRA-900 - Cobra Edgeless Microfiber Polishing Triple
1 COBRA-1624WW - 16x24 Cobra Guzzler Waffle Weave Towel
1 LC-77-216 - Lambswool 6 Inch Leveling Pad
1 MB-2020 - 2 QTY Cobra Deluxe 6 Inch Orange Microfiber
1 PIN-310CMB - ***Pinnacle Signature Series II Combo
1 LC-GPS-PRO - Professional Glass Polishing System
1 PIN-510K - Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay Special
1 DTB-100-AG - Detailer's Tool Bag
(Autogeek)
1 COBRA-470 - Cobra Orange MIcro-Chenille Wash Mitt
1 MB-3030 - 2 Pack Cobra 6 Inch Blue Microfiber bonnets

I didn't buy any interior products, as I am pretty happy with the eagle
one interior stuff so far.

with the order you got, no need to go back to OTC ever again and you likely wont. Consider the interior products next. Once youve tried Poorboys Natural Look, or 303 Protectant, or Einszett Cockpit Premium you will note the difference.

Re: New to the forum , and autogeek

Speaking of 303 protectant, I have alot of black plastic on the exterior of my truck, I am sure you have seen one by now. I was told to use 303 plastic prrotectant ( from a boat store ) to keep it looking nice and black and I bought a bottle of it, I felt like I wasted about 13 bucks. I did get really good results with a 3M plastic protectant. Kinda looked like a white lotion out of the bottle. But none of them last long.

When I had a wrangler several years ago, I always did the exterior plastic with some stuff ( can't remember who made it, or what it was called ) that was thick and clear, like a true liquid silicon. Lasted forever, and it looked really good.

Aside from 303, what should I try for shining up my plastic on the outside?

Also the FJ is a plethora of plastic inside. The floor is a thick rubber ( so you can wash it out with a hose - yeah right ) and the dash and door panels , everything is plastic. Don't ya love modern cars ?

So I really only need a good plastic and vinyl cleaner, conditioner for the interior. I use lexol on my steering wheel and headrests , cause that is all the leather I have for now. ( dreaming of katskins !! )

Black WOW is nice on outside. Wipe it down with cool water application to set it in, otherwise it can drip. Einszett also makes something in a large teal can that works well, but can never remember the name and its hard to find.
